Due to ongoing uncertainties surrounding the current pandemic regulations, the faculty of CVNUK decided to replace this year’s physical conference with an online conference which took place on 27th November 2020. This features a variety of presentations focused on the development of a vaccine for Covid-19.

Dr Shamaila Anwar

Dr Shamaila Anwar is a senior manager at the NIHR where she has worked for the last 6 years managing key initiatives in Cancer, Surgery and Oral and Dental Health Research. She is currently project managing the NIHR COVID and Me programme led by Prof Sue Pavitt to address inclusivity in research and reaching underserved communities. Shamaila completed her PhD in epidemiology at the University of Bradford in 2004 and has a background in the development and management of clinical trials across a number of different specialty areas.
