Due to ongoing uncertainties surrounding the current pandemic regulations, the faculty of CVNUK decided to replace this year’s physical conference with an online conference which took place on 27th November 2020. This features a variety of presentations focused on the development of a vaccine for Covid-19.

Prof Andrew Ustianowski is a consultant physician in Infectious Diseases and research lead at the Regional Infectious Diseases Unit, North Manchester General Hospital. He is joint National Specialty Lead for Infection for the Clinical Research Network (CRN) National Institute of Health Research, as well as being the Deputy Clinical Director for Greater Manchester CRN.
Andrew is also Clinical Lead for the NIHR COVID Vaccine Research Programme, is UK chief investigator (CI) on 4 COVID vaccine/monoclonal studies as well as UK CI on 3 COVID treatment studies.
After graduating from Guy’s Hospital, London, Andrew subsequently trained in Infectious Diseases, Tropical Medicine, HIV and General Medicine in the London region. He also undertook a PhD at UCL, London.
